I created this website for the author and journalist Miriam Stein. The object of the website was to show the books she has written along with samples of her writing and reaction to her work in the media. The website opens with a full screen splash image of her new book with links to further related information.

The navigation is kept simple to keep with the minimal theme, drop-down options appear when the curser is on the menu items. A slider is used to scroll through the books that have been published an provide a link to the indervidual pages with work about each book.

An inportant feature for the client was a contact form for people to get in touch with her. A Php file is used to process the form securely and forward the information on. An picture slider shows current content from instagram.

The color palette was taken from the cover of her most recent book, with styling designed to give the same clean and ordered look.

The website was designed with a mobile first approach. Each section is laid out in a vertical aspect that makes it easy to scroll through content; while swipe actions allow for easy usability and reduce the amount of information needed to be displayed on screen at any one time.
